There seems to be no escape route for passengers trapped in the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway gridlock caused by a trailer accident on Tuesday.

The Guardian’s reliable source revealed that the gridlock, which has paralysed activities on the road, had extended to the Sagamu interchange as of the time of filing this report.

An eyewitness account revealed that the fallen trailer had not been removed as of Tuesday morning, leaving motorists with no option but to share the only available lane through the affected section.

The situation has continued to worsen as more vehicles join the standstill, resulting in a long stretch of traffic and delays for motorists travelling through the area.

Already, personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been having a difficult time controlling traffic as motorists divert through inner roads and bush paths.
