The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Prince Laja Adeoye, has met with the party’s Senate and House of Representatives candidates as part of efforts to strengthen its preparations for the 2027 elections.

The meeting was convened by the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation (LACO), according to a statement issued by the organisation on Tuesday in Lagos.

The statement said the meeting was attended by members of the APM State Executive Committee, including the state chairman, secretary, woman leader and organising secretary.

Also present were the party’s publicity secretary, youth leader and other key officials, as well as APM chairmen from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas across the state.

It said several critical issues were resolved at the meeting, while important appointments were also made.

According to the statement, party leaders reaffirmed the unity of APM in Lagos and pledged to mobilise support for all the party’s candidates ahead of the elections.

“APM Lagos remains one strong, united family. The party is fully committed to delivering massive votes for all our candidates, from top to bottom,” the statement quoted the party leaders as saying.

The organisation said the meeting was part of ongoing efforts to improve coordination among the party’s candidates and leadership as the 2027 elections draw closer.

It added that the meeting also provided an opportunity for Adeoye to present his policy agenda, tagged “Atunto Eko”.

The statement described Atunto Eko as a people-first agenda designed to reset Lagos for prosperity, equity and accountability.

It said the agenda was based on the conviction that Lagos could only achieve sustainable development when governance was deliberately centred on the needs of ordinary residents, small business owners and underserved communities.

According to the statement, Atunto Eko would focus on five key pillars: affordable healthcare, quality education, job creation through small and medium enterprises (SMEs), modern infrastructure, and security anchored on community policing.

Adeoye told the party leaders that the five pillars would guide policy decisions, appointments and budgetary priorities if APM formed the next government in Alausa.

“We are not coming to manage Lagos, we are coming to reset it,” he said.

The statement said the agenda would also prioritise grassroots inclusion through direct funding for grassroots development, youth technology hubs in every LGA and women-led cooperative schemes.

It said the party leadership agreed that its Senate and House of Representatives candidates would align their legislative priorities with the Atunto Eko agenda.

The alignment, according to the organisation, was aimed at creating synergy between federal and state initiatives for the benefit of Lagos residents.

The statement said Atunto Eko would remain the central message of the APM campaign as the 2027 elections approach.

It added that the agenda would be taken to communities across Lagos through town hall meetings, door-to-door mobilisation and other grassroots engagements.

According to the statement, the objective was to offer Lagos residents a credible alternative centred on responsive governance and effective service delivery.

It said the campaign would promote a government that “listens, delivers, and puts people first.”
