Governments, investors, entrepreneurs, businesses and development partners from across Africa and beyond are expected to converge in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the Future Africa Trade & Investment Expo (FATI Expo) 2026, scheduled to hold from November 6 to 9, 2026.
The FATI EXPO Project Lead, Ambassador Phil Roberts, who stated this yesterday in Jalingo, Taraba state, said, the four-day expo is designed as a major platform for promoting intra-African trade, attracting investment and creating stronger commercial partnerships between African businesses and international markets.
The even, according to him, will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, including government representatives, investors, business owners, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, diplomats, exhibitors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, development organisations, women and youth leaders, as well as international partners.
“The expo is expected to provide participants with opportunities to showcase businesses, explore investment prospects and establish strategic relationships capable of supporting economic growth and expansion across the continent” Robert said.
Among the key sectors expected to feature prominently at FATI Expo 2026, as reeled out by him, are tourism and hospitality, real estate, agriculture, mining, infrastructure, the blue economy, technology, manufacturing, aviation and the creative industries.
The organisers said the wide range of sectors reflects the growing opportunities available across Africa and the need to connect capital, expertise, businesses and markets to unlock sustainable economic development.
“A major component of the expo will be business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking and networking, which will enable participating companies and investors to identify potential partners, explore commercial opportunities and develop new business relationships.”
Adding that, Participants are also expected to benefit from access to new markets, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships, while businesses will have an opportunity to improve their visibility and explore avenues for expansion beyond their existing markets.
The event, as made know by the Project Lead, will particularly provide a platform for SMEs and startups to interact with investors, established companies, government institutions and international partners, potentially opening opportunities for funding, collaboration and market access.
“Women and youth leaders are also expected to play a significant role at the expo, reflecting the increasing emphasis on inclusive participation in Africa’s trade, entrepreneurship and investment landscape”, he stated.
The organisers described FATI Expo 2026 as a platform aimed at connecting Africa, driving investment and building global partnerships, with the broader objective of strengthening commercial relationships and positioning African enterprises for greater participation in regional and international markets.
With stakeholders from different sectors expected to participate, the Dar es Salaam event, Robert said, is projected to serve as a meeting point for ideas, capital, innovation and business opportunities, while promoting stronger economic cooperation across Africa.
“The Future Africa Trade & Investment Expo 2026 will therefore provide governments, investors, businesses and development partners with an opportunity to engage, build partnerships and explore emerging opportunities capable of contributing to Africa’s economic transformation,” he concluded.
