PanAfrican Capital Holdings Limited (PAC Holdings) has marked its 20th anniversary, announcing a renewed commitment to expanding cross-border investments and launching its new “SCALE 2030” strategic roadmap to guide its next decade of expansion across the continent.
The milestone was commemorated during a executive media parley in Lagos, where the group’s leadership reflected on its evolution from a niche financial services firm into a multi-sector proprietary investment powerhouse.
Founded in 2006 through the consolidation of legacy subsidiary businesses from Spring Bank to form Spring Capital, the firm initially focused on localised investment banking. Over two decades, PAC Holdings transformed into a diversified investment holding company with operations across seven key sectors namely Financial Services, Real Estate & Infrastructure, Technology & Payment Systems, Agro-Allied & FMCG, Healthcare, Hospitality & Entertainment, and Renewable Energy.
To date, the group has facilitated landmark transactions across more than 35 countries, advising and funding governments, financial institutions, and private enterprises in sectors critical to Africa’s economic development.
Speaking at the event, Group Managing Director PAC Holdings, Chris Oshiafi, emphasised that the two-decade mark serves as a launching pad rather than just a retrospective milestone.
“Twenty years gives us an opportunity to reflect on where we started, what we have built and, most importantly, what the future requires of us,” Oshiafi stated. “Africa continues to present enormous opportunities, but unlocking those opportunities requires capital, strong institutions, strategic partnerships, and businesses prepared to create value for the long term.”
Deputy Group Managing Director, Sina Alimi, underscored that the institution’s longevity stems from its relationship-driven philosophy: “Our story is about the people, partnerships, businesses, and opportunities that have shaped the institution. As we look ahead, we are focused on building an organisation that can identify opportunities early, deploy capital intelligently, and build businesses that endure.”
Addressing the firm’s deal footprint, Group Executive Director, Eric Okoruwa, noted that PAC Holdings’ impact extends beyond pure capital deployment. “Beyond transaction value, our contribution has been about building confidence in markets, strengthening institutions, and creating pathways for investment to flow where it is needed most,” Okoruwa said.
Looking toward its third decade, the group unveiled SCALE 2030, a strategic framework designed to accelerate growth, deepen market penetration in frontier economies, and scale investments in high-impact areas like tech infrastructure and green energy.
Group Executive Director, Nentok Gomwalk concluded that the strategy positions PAC Holdings to play a leading role in the continent’s long-term economic transformation.
