The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial polls in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, yesterday denied filing any petition against the electoral victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke at the election petition tribunal.
Oyebamiji, who spoke with The Guardian from Saudi Arabia, stated: “I didn’t file any petition and never authorised anybody to file it on my behalf.
“It is fake and should be disregarded by members of the public. I did not submit any petition.”
However, Secretary of the tribunal, Pefe Belemore, confirmed that petitions by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the outcome of the election had been filed.
Belemore said more vital notices would be displayed on the tribunal’s notice board.
