A youth group in Gombe State, Gombawa Youth Congress, has pledged to deliver the youth votes in Gombe State to Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as the next governor of the state and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as senator Gombe north in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a solidarity event held at custodian hotel in Gombe, the State Coordinator of the group, Sadiq Legacy, said the congress has structures across all 11 local government areas and 33 LCDAs of the state and is ready to mobilise massively for the APC.

“We have structures in all the 11 LGAs and 13 LCDAs. We will go round to every corner of Gombe State to canvass support for APC,” Legacy said.

He added that the group will also embark on voter education and mobilisation to ensure youths obtain their voters cards and participate meaningfully in 2027 elections.

The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Aishatu M.B Ahmad, commended the group for organising the solidarity rally, saying Governor Yahaya remains committed to youth empowerment and poverty reduction.

“The governor prioritises the wellbeing of the youth and promises more welfare packages to move citizens out of poverty across the state,” she said.

Also speaking, the State APC Organising Secretary, Musa Ibrahim, hailed the Gombawa Youth Congress for mobilising support for the party without being asked.

“This is a challenge to other party loyalists to follow suit. Go ward to ward and mobilise. We must support Inuwa and Jamilu collectively, not selectively,” Ibrahim urged.

He described the event as “unprecedented” at this stage of the election cycle, noting that early grassroots mobilisation would give APC a major advantage in 2027.
