Nigerian singer Specdo, real name Ajayi Solomon,  is m gearing up to release a deeply personal new single titled DaBoy on September 18, drawing inspiration from the challenges, disappointments and defining experiences that have shaped his journey.

In a recent interview, Specdo described the forthcoming  music record as one of his most vulnerable works, explaining that it reflects a difficult period during which he faced personal and professional setbacks.

According to Specdo, the song was created from an honest examination of his experiences rather than an attempt to follow a passing musical trend.

“DaBoy tells a real story about my journey the pain, the disappointments, the temporary failures and the strength it took to continue,” he said.

While the record is rooted in his own life, the recording artiste believes its message will resonate with people confronting their own struggles. He said the lyrics were written in a way that allows listeners to interpret the story through their individual experiences.

The creative direction for the song reportedly emerged during a late-night studio session. Specdo recalled struggling to settle on an idea before eventually looking inward and allowing personal memories to guide the writing process.

Ajayi Solomon acknowledged the contributions of his producer, brother, friends and other members of his team, whom he credited with helping him convert complex emotions into a cohesive record.

Specdo describes his artistic ambition as the pursuit of what he calls an infinity song music that can retain its emotional relevance and connect with audiences long after its original release.

His musical foundation can be traced to his childhood. Raised by a father who served as a pastor and a mother who was involved in gospel music, Specdo was introduced to music and performance from an early age.

The singer is now seeking to establish greater consistency as he begins a new phase of his career.

He expressed gratitude to fans who continued supporting him during his period away from regular releases, promising to reward their patience with purposeful music.

“I appreciate everyone who stayed with me and continued to believe in my journey,” he said.

“My responsibility now is to remain consistent and create quality music that people can genuinely feel.

Scheduled to drop on September 18, 2026, DaBoy will be released under TMY Empire and distributed by Zentharon Worldwide.

For Specdo, the record is intended to offer more than entertainment as he  hopes its story will remind listeners that pain, rejection and temporary failure do not have to define the end of a person’s journey.

“Beyond the beat, I want people to feel the passion and the human story behind every lyric,” he said.
