As Nigerian organisations rapidly migrate to cloud platforms, digital payments and interconnected systems, managing cybersecurity and regulatory compliance as separate silos has become unsustainable.

To bridge the gap, Aegis360AI, an AI-native, human-in-the-loop enterprise platform developed by SBTS Group, designed to consolidate threat intelligence, risk management and compliance tracking into a unified operational environment, has been unveiled.

Chief Executive Officer of SBTS Group, Evelyn Lewis, said: “The challenge is no longer simply about detecting a cyberattack or preparing for a yearly audit.”

Lewis, who spoke during a recent tour of the company’s Security Operations Centre in Abuja by officials of the FCT Internal Revenue Service, said organisations needed continuous visibility and integrated controls to stay ahead of evolving threats and regulatory expectations.

Traditionally, compliance has been a deadline-driven exercise, with teams scrambling for documents and evidence when an audit looms. However, Nigeria’s evolving data protection landscape, enforced by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), demands that organisations demonstrate continuous adherence rather than merely yearly claims.

Lewis said Aegis360AI shifts this paradigm by automating evidence collection and real-time control monitoring.

Instead of reactive preparation, the platform maintains an ongoing, verifiable record of an organisation’s security posture, turning compliance from a defensive scramble into a proactive management process.

A standout feature of Aegis360AI is its ability to map a single organisational control across multiple regulatory and international standards. This eliminates duplicate efforts and manual reconciliation.

According to Lewis, the platform seamlessly maps controls across Nigeria’s NDPC data protection requirements, ISO 27001 (Information Security), ISO 42001 (AI Management), SOC 2 and HIPAA.

He said that by integrating with developer and cloud stacks such as AWS, GCP and GitHub, the platform automates the heavy lifting of evidence gathering, helping enterprises identify gaps before auditors or regulators do.

Stressing the importance of sector-specific applications across government, energy and financial industries, he said banks and fintechs grappling with vendor risks and cloud complexity could automate workflows, centralise third-party risk management and maintain continuous audit readiness, moving away from error-prone spreadsheets.
