Etihad Airways launches wellbeing programme for more comfortable travel

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways, the United Arab Emirates’ national carrier, has introduced Etihad Wellbeing, a new programme aimed at helping passengers travel more comfortably and arrive at their destinations feeling rested and refreshed.
The programme brings together a range of products and services designed to support healthy lifestyle habits throughout the journey, covering the passenger experience from pre-departure to arrival.

The initiative includes dedicated quiet spaces and pre-departure spa treatments at Etihad Lounges at Zayed International Airport, as well as luxury amenities, natural bedding, nutritious meals and hydrating vitamin and electrolyte drinks onboard.

Jyotsna Chowdhry, Vice President, Product and Hospitality, Etihad Airways, said the programme was designed in response to growing interest among frequent travellers in maintaining healthy habits while flying.

“Etihad Wellbeing is our commitment to making the flying experience as restorative and restful as possible,” she said.

Passengers travelling in First and The Residence can access natural cotton bedding, memory foam mattresses and premium sleepwear designed to improve comfort during sleep.

In Business Class, Etihad has introduced its Destination Collection amenity kits, featuring skincare products from Korean beauty brand LANEIGE, including its Water Sleeping Mask, Lip Sleeping Mask and hand cream.

The airline said it was the first carrier to partner with LANEIGE and remains the only airline currently offering the brand’s products onboard.

First Class passengers also receive skincare amenities from ESPA, along with facial and under-eye masks intended to help restore and rejuvenate the skin during flights.

Etihad is additionally introducing a signature fragrance across its aircraft and lounges. The scent was created exclusively for the airline to provide what it described as a calm, welcoming and familiar atmosphere.

The programme includes Etihad’s Quiet Cabin initiative, which reduces non-essential announcements to create a more peaceful onboard environment.

Passengers can also access meditation, stretching and sleep content through the airline’s inflight entertainment system, while several aircraft are equipped with lighting designed to support rest and help reduce the effects of jet lag on long-haul journeys.

Etihad said Etihad Wellbeing would continue to evolve as the airline introduces further products and services aimed at enhancing the passenger experience.
