Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Professor Ayodeji Olawumi Badejo (Nee Faji) as Vice- Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU).

A statement announcing the new Vice Chancellor by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Salau, said that Prof. Badejo, a Professor of Guidance and Counselling, was born on August 4, 1962.

She obtained a PhD in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and an M. Ed. (Guidance and Counselling) UNILAG.

Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawunmi succeeds Professor Ibijoke Olatunji-Bello, who is retiring after the expiration of her five-year tenure.
