Piggyvest, an online savings and investment platform, has partnered with Chapel Hill Denham to make shares in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE Initial Public Offering (IPO) available to millions of Nigerians through its digital platform.
The partnership is part of an initiative by Chapel Hill Denham, the offering’s joint issuing house, to expand access to the IPO through digital channels.
The IPO, scheduled to run from September 14 to October 13, 2026, comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at N525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares.
The offering is expected to raise about N2.15 trillion, which will fund the expansion and growth of the Dangote Refinery.
The IPO has been described as Nigeria’s biggest and is expected to become the largest equity offering in the country’s capital market.
Speaking in an interview with Arise News, Lanre Buluro, Managing Director, Capital Markets at Chapel Hill Denham, said the digital structure was designed to broaden participation by allowing prospective investors to access the offering through platforms they already use and complete their subscriptions quickly.
Through the partnership, more than 6.6 million Piggyvest users will have the opportunity to subscribe to the IPO directly from the platform, with investments starting from N5,250.
Piggyvest co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Joshua Chibueze, said the process was designed to make it easier for first-time investors to participate.
“We know that for many Nigerians, this could be their first time buying shares, and we don’t want the complexity of the stock market to get in their way,” he said.
“From getting their CSCS details to making their first subscription, we’ve made the experience as intuitive and as seamless as possible. Our goal is to give first-time investors the confidence to participate.”
Chibueze said the partnership would also expose Piggyvest users to opportunities in the Nigerian capital market.
Piggyvest co-founder and Chief Operations Officer, Odunayo Eweniyi, said the partnership was consistent with the platform’s objective of providing users with access to wealth-building opportunities.
“As the Nigerian capital market continues to grow and become more attractive to investors, we’ll continue to find more ways to expose our users to those opportunities,” she said.
The Dangote Refinery, one of Africa’s largest industrial projects, is expected to play a significant role in Nigeria’s energy and economic development.
The partnership between Piggyvest and Chapel Hill Denham is expected to provide individual investors with another digital channel through which they can participate in the refinery’s equity offering.
