Nigerian actor and digital creator Kelvin Ezike, popularly known as Kenzy, has officially launched Kelvin Ezike Studios, a film production company created to develop and produce fresh, entertaining and relatable African stories.

The launch marks a new chapter in Kenzy’s career as he expands from acting and content creation into filmmaking and original production. Despite being in the film industry for almost three years, the young actor has already appeared in well over 100 movies, building a growing audience and establishing himself as one of the industry’s promising young talents.

Through Kelvin Ezike Studios, Kenzy intends to take greater ownership of the stories he tells while creating films that reflect the lives, relationships, struggles and ambitions of young Africans.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the company, Kenzy said: “After working on more than 100 movies, I wanted to take everything I had learnt and use it to build something of my own. I don’t just want to appear in front of the camera; I want to be part of creating the story from the beginning and bringing fresh ideas to life.”

The studio has already completed production on its debut film, Wrong Place, Wrong Time, which is scheduled for release on October 1, 2026.

The film centres on the horrific weekend of a young delivery boy who unexpectedly finds himself caught in the wrong place at the right time. What begins as an ordinary delivery quickly becomes a frightening and unpredictable experience involving danger, difficult choices and an unexpected romantic connection.

Ihechi Opara, Producer of Wrong Place, Wrong Time and Executive Producer alongside Kenzy, explained that the company’s vision goes beyond producing a single film.

“Kelvin Ezike Studios was created to build a lasting platform for original stories and young creative talent. Kenzy understands his generation and has built a genuine connection with millions of young people. Our goal is to translate that connection into films that are entertaining, well-produced, relatable and culturally authentic,” Opara said.

According to Opara, the studio will also provide opportunities for emerging actors, writers, directors and other creatives while collaborating with established professionals across the Nigerian film industry.

Kenzy described the launch as the beginning of a larger creative journey.

“This is bigger than one movie. We want Kelvin Ezike Studios to become a home for bold ideas, exciting talent and African stories that can connect with audiences in Nigeria and around the world. I am excited for people to finally see what we have been creating,” he added.

With his experience across more than 100 movie productions and a strong digital presence, Kenzy enters this new phase with an existing connection to audiences in Nigeria and beyond. Kelvin Ezike Studios plans to use that reach to promote original African films, introduce emerging talent and build a growing catalogue of memorable productions.

Further information about Wrong Place, Wrong Time, including its cast, official trailer and release platform, will be announced ahead of its October 1, 2026 release.
