Nigerian content creator, Aliozor Justin Tochukwu, popularly known as Realmecus, is combining comedy with efforts to support people in his community.
Born in Enugu State and now based in Lagos, Realmecus is an influencer, streamer and entertainer who has built a growing following on TikTok, Instagram and Twitch.
His content covers comedy, modelling, live streaming, lifestyle and conversations around social issues. He started out in comedy, driven by a passion for connecting with people.
“I want my content to be relatable. I draw from my experiences, the things I observe and the values I believe in, so people can connect with the person behind the screen,” Realmecus said.
“For me, comedy has always been about connecting with people. When people can see a part of themselves in what I do, that makes the content more meaningful,” he added.
His profile has also grown beyond social media. He has taken part in content-creation showcases and talk shows, and was reportedly crowned King of Contents before reaching the semi-final of a competition in his niche.
He has also served as a live host alongside popular creators, including Peller, Joblaq and Anthonyowo.
Away from entertainment, Realmecus has reportedly used his platform to help people facing financial hardship, including students and small business owners. His support is said to have covered school fees and rent payments, as well as assistance to small businesses.
“Having a platform comes with responsibility. If I can use what I have to support someone with school fees, rent or a small business, I believe that is something worth doing,” he said.
“I also want people who follow me to understand that we can all make a difference in our own little ways. Sometimes, a little support can mean a lot to someone,” Realmecus added.
He also shares some of these experiences with his audience, encouraging followers to embrace compassion, generosity and community support.
“Live streaming has given me the opportunity to interact with my audience in real time. It feels more personal because I get to engage with people directly and understand them better,” he said.
His rise also reflects a wider shift in Africa’s entertainment industry, where young creatives no longer depend only on television, radio or film to reach audiences. Social media now allows them to build communities and personal brands, and to create opportunities for themselves.
“Entertainment is a big part of what I do, but I don’t want to be known only for making people laugh. I also want to use my platform to create a positive impact in my community,” Realmecus said.
As his audience grows, Realmecus is positioning himself as more than an entertainer, a personality that combines creativity with community impact.
