Nefer Remittance is positioning itself as a platform for Nigerians making payments to Canada, offering naira-to-Canadian-dollar transfers with zero transfer fees and an emphasis on faster processing, competitive exchange rates and regulatory compliance.

The company said it is registered with the Bank of Canada as a Payment Service Provider and with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business, positioning regulatory compliance as a key part of its service.

Nefer Remittance said its platform goes beyond money transfers, although it did not disclose further details of the additional services.

Through Nefer Remittance, customers can make supported Canadian school-fee payments, pay for vehicles purchased through Copart, IAA, Manheim and major dealerships, and handle supported international shipping payments from the same platform.

And Canada is only the starting point. Nefer is already working towards more payment rails, including the United States and United Kingdom, as it expands the number of countries and currencies customers can access.

Nefer is also creating more opportunities around its payment network. In Canada, users can sign up as Nefer Agents, refer customers and earn commissions on eligible transactions, giving people the opportunity to build a small FX referral business around their existing network.
