All Progress Congress (APC) youth group – ‘Renewed Hope for Youth Development and Empowerment Initiative (RHYDEI)’, was launched at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja over the weekend with a promise to mobilise 20 million votes for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

RHYDEI has the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as its National Chairman.

Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani will serve as its North West Chairman; Dr Raymond Asemakaha, North Central Chairman; Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, South West Chairman; Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, South South Chairman; and Hon. Kingsley Ezekwelu (Idmili North/South Federal Constituency), South East Chairman.

The RHYDEI’s national chairman and all the five zonal chairmen were absent during the launch of group. The President of the initiative, Hon. Abayomi Odediran, explained that they were all engaged in other assignments.

Speaking during the launch, Odediran said RHYDEI would deliver 20 million votes to Tinubu in all 774 local government areas across the country, assuring the President “You have nothing to worry about. RHYDEI is ready and fully prepared to work for your return and to secure your second term in office.

“We shall take Renewed Hope to every Ward in the 774 LGAs. From Sokoto to Bayelsa, from Borno to Lagos”.

He thanked the President for saving the country by removing the fuel subsidy and cabal behind it, stabilising the economy and giving hope to the youths.

The RHYDEI President criticised those who paid dollars to American law firm to embarrass Tinubu during the ongoing 81st UNGA in New York, United States of America.

“Some people thought they could disgrace him (Tinubu). A father that we all know as Mr. Privatisation paid dollars not to Nigeria, but to a wealthy American law firm just to hunt our father. They wanted to embarrass him in America.

“The whole world celebrated him. Because you cannot disgrace a man whom God has graced. We will not allow anyone to use dollars or propaganda to pull our father down. We are his foot soldiers. Online and offline, we will stand and defend him.

“This is a love movement. We are going to show Nigerians that Jagaban is loved at home”, Odediran said.

He said the initiative would create 10,000 trained youth Ambassadors in all states to defend and explain the achievements of President Tinubu on the streets, on social media, and in the markets.

He added that RHYDEI would partner with Federal Government agencies to ensure at least one million youths benefit from Skills, grants and loans before the 2027 election. “We will show them that Renewed Hope is working”.

The highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the 36 states’ coordinators of the group and the FCT during the launch.
