The International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII) has awarded $46,000 in scholarships to seven students pursuing mining and minerals-related education in Saskatchewan, Canada, for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The awards comprise five IMII Rockstar Scholarships, the UEC Northerner IMII Rockstar Scholarship and the Al Shpyth Scholarship for Environmental Excellence.

The recipients are Shelby Page, Kale Strelioff, Ibuchi Joachins Nwachukwu, Ivan Krueger and Jocelyne Durand under the Rockstar Scholarship programme; Rodney Mayling, who received the UEC Northerner scholarship; and Emma Wilmut, recipient of the environmental excellence award.

IMII Executive Director, Lesley McGilp, said the scholarships would help develop the skills needed to drive innovation and growth in Saskatchewan’s mining and minerals industry.
