A Unite Kingdom-based computer scientist and electrical engineer, Dr. Hakeem Akande, has described the Group Managing Director of KAM Holdings Nigeria Ltd., Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf, as a thorough and highly principled man and a “straight ruler” in his dealings.

Akande rained the emcomium in Manchester City, United Kingdom while felicitating with the industrialist on his 60th birthday.

Akande, an expert in network security, infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence, acknowledged the defining role Yusuf played in his life with support for his education from secondary school to PhD.

Describing the KAM Holdings boss as a father and mentor, Akande hinted that he has been with Yusuf for over three decades and that the industrialist has remained actively involved in every aspect of his life.

“I am his adopted son, and I have been with him for over 30 years. I have spent a major part of my life with him. Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf is my father and my mentor,” he said.

Akande expressed profound gratitude for Yusuf’s enduring support, noting that his contributions were instrumental to his academic and professional achievements.

“To the glory of Almighty God, I hope to become a professor in the next couple of years. I give all the glory and adoration to God, and I deeply appreciate my Dad, Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf, because he has been there for me in every aspect of my life.

“He has contributed immensely to my life, and many people can testify to what I am saying,” he added.

Speaking on Yusuf’s leadership style, Akande described him as a disciplined administrator who places high premium on accountability, diligence and personal responsibility.

“Kamwire, as he is fondly called, is a very thorough person. He is straight as a ruler. You cannot live or work with him if you are not accountable,” he stated.

He added that Yusuf’s commitment to discipline and high standards had shaped his own approach to personal and professional responsibilities.

“Any time I see his call, I always assume I am in trouble, except if I have not made any mistake. He is a disciplinarian and I love him for that,” he said.

Akande, while congratulating Dr. Yusuf on his Diamond Jubilee, prayed for his continued good health, long life, divine protection for his immediate and extended family.
