… Urges APC leaders to strengthen ward-level structures ahead of polls
… Minister of Interior remains a dependable pillar — Adojutelegan
A support group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT, has flagged off its unit-to-unit campaign in Ondo West Local Council Area of Ondo State, urging leaders and members of the party to intensify grassroots mobilization for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
The campaign strategy, according to the group, was designed to strengthen the party’s presence at the unit level and secure victory for the APC in the forthcoming presidential election, as well as for candidates contesting National Assembly and Ondo State House of Assembly seats.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held in Ondo West, the Director-General of the group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, stressed the need for party leaders, coordinators, and members to work collectively towards Tinubu’s re-election, stressing that sustained engagement with voters at the unit level would be crucial to achieving the desired electoral success.
Adojutelegan explained that the unit-to-unit campaign would enable the group to reach residents directly, enlighten voters, and communicate the policies and programs of the present administration.
He emphasized that the initiative was expected to reinforce the group’s commitment to promoting the re-election bid of President Tinubu and the electoral fortunes of other APC candidates.
He also urged APC faithful to extend their mobilization efforts to other candidates of the party contesting elections in the National Assembly and the Ondo State House of Assembly, emphasizing the importance of securing victories for the party across all levels of government.
The BTO4PBAT Director-General expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration, maintaining that the President had recorded commendable achievements in several sectors, particularly road infrastructure development and efforts aimed at reviving the nation’s economy.
According to him, the achievements should form the central message of the group’s grassroots campaign.
He therefore charged coordinators of BTO4PBAT across the various units to embark on an aggressive, door-to-door campaign, urging them to take the achievements of President Tinubu to the people and mobilize widespread support for the APC ahead of the elections.
Adojutelegan expressed appreciation to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his unwavering support for the group, describing his contributions as unprecedented and instrumental to its growth and activities.
He stated that the minister has remained a dependable pillar of support and a major financier of the group, providing the necessary backing to sustain its operations and strengthen its structures across Ondo State.
“The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has been our pillar of support and financier. He has continued to stand firmly with us, demonstrating an uncommon commitment to the growth and stability of our group. His contributions have been unprecedented, and we deeply appreciate his continued support,” he said.
He further described Tunji-Ojo as the leader of the various political structures in Ondo State, noting that his leadership and commitment have continued to play a significant role in mobilizing support for the APC.
He added that the minister remained committed to the political activities of the party, particularly efforts aimed at securing the re-election of President Tinubu, stressing that his dedication to the party’s goals and programs was evident in his sustained engagement with political stakeholders across the state.
He also urged the participants to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming elections, stressing that the cards are essential for exercising their civic rights and ensuring their participation in the electoral process.
“Your PVC is your voting strength. Ensure you have it to guarantee your participation in the forthcoming elections,” he said, encouraging them to take the necessary steps to secure their voter cards and be prepared to fulfill their civic responsibilities during the elections.
