Accident Caution sign

Five casualties have been recorded following a multiple-vehicle crash on the Third Mainland Bridge, inward Lagos Island, around Iyana Oworo.

The incident, reported at about 10:10 a.m., involved two Toyota Camry cars, a Mazda car and a mini truck. The crash was reportedly caused by reckless driving.

The incident has caused a traffic backlog along the busy route, with traffic management personnel working to regulate vehicular movement and minimise congestion.

Safety cones have been placed around the scene to prevent secondary accidents, while police officers are on the ground managing the situation. The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) is en route to provide emergency assistance to the casualties.
