The former Arsenal midfielder marked his 327th Premier League appearance by firing a low drive from the edge of the box into the bottom corner after receiving an assist from Sander Berge.

Super Eagles teammate Calvin Bassey captained Fulham and helped the hosts keep a clean sheet. The 26-year-old centre-back played the entire match, recording his seventh consecutive league start.

Semi Ajayi (Hull City)

Semi Ajayi endured a disappointing afternoon as Hull City suffered their second league defeat of the season against Fulham.

The central defender featured for the Tigers but could not prevent Iwobi’s decisive strike from separating the sides.

Frank Onyeka and Taiwo Awoniyi (Coventry City)

Frank Onyeka and Taiwo Awoniyi featured for Coventry City against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night but could not prevent their side from suffering another defeat.

Both Nigerians came on in the second half as Tottenham secured their first Premier League win of the season, leaving Coventry with their sixth loss.

Awoniyi returned to the squad after serving a three-match suspension following his red card against Brighton on matchday four. The former Nottingham Forest striker is still searching for his first league goal for Coventry after five appearances.

Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest)

Ola Aina was an unused substitute as Nottingham Forest suffered a home defeat against reigning champions Arsenal at the City Ground on Sunday.

The 30-year-old defender watched from the bench as Noni Madueke scored late to deepen Forest’s struggles this season.

Ryan Alebiosu (Blackburn Rovers)

Ryan Alebiosu played the full match as Blackburn Rovers lost 3-2 away to West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship.

The right-back has remained a regular in Blackburn’s starting line-up, featuring in 10 of the club’s 11 matches so far this season.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City)

Bright Osayi-Samuel helped Birmingham City secure a convincing 3-0 home victory over Queens Park Rangers at St Andrew’s.

The Super Eagles right-back delivered a solid performance as Birmingham continued their Championship campaign. He has started every league match for the club this season.

Spain

Ademola Lookman (Atletico Madrid)

Ademola Lookman featured for only the first half as Atletico Madrid snatched a late winner against Espanyol on Saturday.

Although the former African Footballer of the Year ended his goal drought against Manchester United in the Champions League last Tuesday, he has struggled for consistency in front of goal this season.

The 28-year-old has scored twice in 11 appearances across competitions.

Chidera Ejuke (Sevilla)

Chidera Ejuke came on in the second half as Sevilla suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Super Eagles winger has featured in seven La Liga matches this season and has scored once.

Germany

Raphael Onyedika (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Raphael Onyedika delivered an impressive midfield performance as Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Cologne on Friday to claim maximum points.

The Nigerian midfielder completed 76 per cent of his passes as Frankfurt secured a narrow victory. He has featured in six Bundesliga matches this season.

Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen)

Victor Boniface remained an unused substitute as Bayer Leverkusen recovered from behind to beat Freiburg at the BayArena.

The striker’s future at the club remains uncertain, with the Super Eagles forward failing to feature in seven consecutive matches.

Nathan Tella (Bayer Leverkusen)

Nathan Tella continued his return to action after a five-week injury layoff, making a second-half appearance in Leverkusen’s victory over Freiburg.

The winger has featured three times since returning from injury as he works towards regaining full match fitness.

Turkey

Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray)

Victor Osimhen endured a quiet outing in front of goal but helped Galatasaray secure a narrow away victory over Genclerbirligi on Saturday.

The Super Eagles striker played the full match and received a booking in the 90th minute as the defending champions maintained their position at the top of the league standings.

Despite a recent injury setback, Osimhen has made an impressive start to the season, registering six goals and three assists in six matches.

Gift Orban (Amedspor)

Gift Orban featured for 72 minutes as Amedspor defeated Konyaspor 1-0 to extend their unbeaten league run to six matches, comprising four wins and two draws.

The Nigerian forward has scored seven goals in eight appearances this season, making him one of the club’s key attacking players.

Kelechi Iheanacho (Bursaspor)

Kelechi Iheanacho continued his remarkable scoring form, extending his run to 10 consecutive matches with a brace in Bursaspor’s 3-0 away victory over Muglaspor.

The Super Eagles forward has now scored 14 goals in 10 matches, further strengthening his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most prolific performers in Europe this season.

Italy

Akor Adams (Venezia)

Akor Adams scored the decisive goal as Venezia ended a six-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Napoli on Saturday.

The Super Eagles forward struck his second Serie A goal of the campaign to secure a much-needed victory for his side. He has now scored twice in seven league appearances.

Samuel Chukwueze

Samuel Chukwueze made an impact off the bench as Milan claimed a 3-2 victory over Atalanta at the San Siro on Sunday night.

The Nigerian winger replaced Omari Hutchinson in the 53rd minute and impressed with his work on the flanks as Milan moved to fourth in the Serie A standings with 15 points from seven matches.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Lazio)

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru marked his return from injury with a goal as Lazio recorded an emphatic 3-0 away victory over Juventus.

The Super Eagles midfielder came off the bench and produced an impressive solo effort, using his pace to beat two opponents before slotting the ball into the far corner.

The goal was a timely boost for Dele-Bashiru, who was making his second league appearance since returning from a six-week muscle injury that forced him to miss the start of the season.

France

Tochukwu Nnadi (Marseille)

Tochukwu Nnadi provided an assist as Marseille recorded a convincing 5-2 victory away to Angers.

The 23-year-old midfielder has continued to earn regular playing time since returning from a four-week injury layoff that ruled him out of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau, as well as the international friendly against Russia.

Nnadi made his Super Eagles debut against Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Moses Simon (Paris FC)

Moses Simon returned to action after missing Paris FC’s previous match against Lorient because of illness.

The 31-year-old forward came on in the second half and played 11 minutes as Paris FC edged Rennes 4-3 at home.

Simon is still searching for his first goal or assist in Ligue 1 this season.
