Nigerian champions, Edo Queens, will play in Group of the CAF Women’s Champions League if they eventually beat Ghana’s Ampen Darkoa Ladies to the WAFU B ticket.

The final draw for the CAF Women’s Champions League, tagged Egypt 2026, was held yesterday in Cairo, with the winner of the WAFU B ticket placed in Group B.

Edo Queens thought they had won the ticket to represent the zone after beating Ampem Darkoa Ladies by penalties after the regular time of the WAFU B final ended in a 2-2 draw. But the Ghanaians protested the method used in arriving at the winner, arguing that the referee should have ordered the teams to play extra 30 minutes before going into penalties.

CAF upheld their protest and ordered a replay of the game in Burkina Faso on October 24.

Should Edo Queens secure qualification, they will be in Group B alongside Moroccan giants AS FAR, USFAS Bamako from Mali and Kawempe Muslim Ladies from Uganda.

The tournament is scheduled to be played in Egypt from November 1 to November 15, 2026.
