Sunbeth Energies Limited has opened its third self-service filling station in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, extending its automated retail fuelling operations beyond Lagos and Abuja.
The new outlet, located in Ada George, allows motorists to pay for fuel using bank cards or transfers and dispense fuel themselves, with customer assistants available to provide guidance and resolve difficulties.
The expansion comes as the company reports a 100 per cent transaction success rate and zero service downtime at its existing self-service stations since September 2026. The figures, according to the company, measure customers’ ability to complete payment and dispense fuel without transactional problems.
The company operates the system with technical support from Techbroker and Fuelmetrics.
Commenting on the launch, the Chief Operating Officer of Sunbeth Energies, Bunmi Isijola, said self-service is not about replacing people; it is about giving customers greater control over their fuelling experience while creating new ways for our people to support and serve them.
“Our Customer Assistants are trained to guide motorists through the process, answer their questions and provide assistance whenever needed. As we bring this experience to Port Harcourt, our commitment remains the same: to make fuelling more convenient, transparent and reliable for every customer.”
Instructions at the pumps guide customers through payment, fuel dispensing and transaction confirmation, while customer assistants remain available to help users unfamiliar with the process.
The Port Harcourt outlet extends the company’s self-service model to the South-South, following its earlier installations in Lagos and Abuja. The system gives customers direct control over the payment and dispensing process, although the company has not disclosed the cost of deploying the technology or the volume of fuel sold through its existing self-service stations.
