The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will on Friday inaugurate the Abuja headquarters of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement, as the group intensifies grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
In a statement, the National Coordinator of the movement, Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, said the inauguration would bring together the organisation’s leaders, political stakeholders, coordinators and supporters.
The office is expected to serve as a strategic centre for coordinating the movement’s activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and supporting its nationwide mobilisation programme.
The movement is convened by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who serves as its Grand Patron. It aims to promote the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda through direct engagement with residents and communities.
Asuku said the inauguration would strengthen the organisation’s grassroots network and improve coordination among its state, local council and ward structures ahead of the 2027 general election.
The movement’s strategy involves taking the administration’s policies and programmes directly to households, markets, workplaces, religious centres and other community gathering points, while encouraging residents to express their concerns.
The organisation said it had expanded its operations through the inauguration of state chapters and the deployment of vehicles and other campaign equipment to facilitate its activities.
According to the statement, more than 300 campaign vehicles and equipment have been distributed across several states, including Katsina, Borno, Kano, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Oyo, Yobe, Bauchi, Kwara, Gombe and Ondo.
Among the deployments, the movement provided 34 vehicles to coordinators across Katsina State’s 34 local council areas, 44 vehicles and public-address equipment in Borno, and 50 vehicles to support its operations across Kano State’s 44 local government areas.
