Harry Kane is the winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or Men’s Player of the Year.
The English and Bayern Munich striker claimed the prestigious prize, ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal on Monday night in London.
Harry Kane had a remarkable 2025/2026 season for club and country, scoring 73 goals.
It was an emotional night for the English striker as he clinched the award in the city of his birth.
Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo Nazario announced Kane as the winner to the delight of the audience at the London Palladium.
Harry Kane is the first English man to win the award since Michael Owen in 2021 and the fifth overall after Sir Stanley Matthews who won the inuagural award in 1956, Sir Bobby Charlton, 1966, and Kevin Keegan, 1978, 1979.
Kane scored 73 goals and had eight assists last season in unarguably the best individual outing by any player in the year under review.
The Three Lions captain scored six goals and registered an assist in seven matches at the World Cup this summer as England beat France to finish on the podium for the first time since 1966.
