Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Retd.)

In a move to support Nigeria’s efforts in military hardware production, a manufacturer of arms, ammunition, and other military hardware for the Nigerian Armed Forces and other African countries, DICON-D7G, has stated that it will from November 2026, launch a military jetty in Ojo area of Lagos State and begin the manufacturing, assembling of tanks, Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), boats, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs), drones, Armoured Tanks and others.

DICON-D7G made the promise during the ongoing Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX) in Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The exhibition, organised in partnership with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and backed by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Ministry of Defence, runs until today.

The arms manufacturer reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s defence industrial base and advancing the nation’s drive towards self-reliance in military technology, equipment, and production.
