Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operator of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), Lagos, has intensified preparations for the commencement of regional flight operations.
The preparations followed the recent settlement of the long-running concession dispute involving the terminal.
A statement yesterday by the Head, Corporate Communications, BASL, Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, noted that the Chairman of BASL, Dr Wale Babalakin, toured the terminal operator’s facilities yesterday to see for himself the readiness of the company to begin regional operations as spelt out in the settlement agreement it had with the Federal Government.

During the inspection, BASL’s Acting Chief Operating Officer, Remi Jibodu, briefed the Chairman on the progress of the ongoing works and operational arrangements.
Babalakin congratulated the team on the progress recorded and urged it to sustain the momentum to ensure that the facilities were ready within the stipulated timeline.
He charged the team with paying attention to finishing, safety standards, operational readiness, and stakeholder coordination.
Also speaking, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of BASL, Idunnu Oyebolu, said the company was working simultaneously to prepare for regional operations and accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the year-end travel season.
