Tinubu reflects on spiritual significance of Umrah

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described his latest Umrah pilgrimage as a deeply fulfilling spiritual experience, expressing gratitude to Allah and highlighting the importance of faith, divine guidance and prayers for Nigeria ahead of another election.

In a video shared on his official social media page, the President spoke about his feelings after completing the Islamic pilgrimage, describing the experience as personal and spiritually meaningful.

Expressing his gratitude to Allah, Tinubu said, “I feel good, I feel fulfilled. It’s a spiritual thing for me in a country, Nigeria. I am grateful to Allah.”

The President’s comments also drew attention to the timing of his latest pilgrimage, considering that he had undertaken a similar spiritual journey ahead of the 2023 presidential election and has now returned for Umrah as he approaches another electoral contest.

His remarks placed Nigeria’s collective well-being at the centre of his reflections, with particular emphasis on peaceful coexistence, national harmony and the role of faith in the lives of individuals and the country.
