THE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Faculty Company, Africa’s leading education expert and a respected school leadership coach in Nigeria and England, Tope Adenuga is set to host the Global Teachers’ Conference 2026, a school-based professional development initiative designed to strengthen teaching practice and improve learning outcomes.
The conference, with the theme: “The Teacher Effect,” will hold on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. WAT via Zoom.
Participating schools will host their teaching teams in school halls or designated training rooms while joining the virtual programme.
Speaking about the forthcoming event, Adenuga explained that the conference is built around a simple but powerful idea: teachers have a lasting influence on how children experience school, develop confidence and reach their potential. For him, improving education requires more than inspiring teachers for a day. It requires giving them practical tools, continued support and opportunities to learn collaboratively throughout the academic year.
The Global Teachers Conference will focus on five key areas of effective teaching: emotional intelligence, critical thinking, classroom culture, assessment for improved learning and inclusive teaching. Through practical sessions and collaborative learning, teachers will explore strategies for engaging learners, responding to learning gaps and creating supportive classroom environments.
Adenuga described the conference as the beginning of a structured professional development journey that will run from November 2026 to July 2027. Participating schools are expected to receive implementation support, a 90-day support toolkit, access to conference recordings, certificates and additional professional development resources throughout the academic session.
The forthcoming conference follows the remarkable success of Adenuga’s last major event, the School Leadership Masterclass. The pan-African development experience was designed to equip school leaders with the mindset, systems and strategies required to build effective, sustainable and high-performing schools. Hosted across key African cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Accra and Nairobi, the Masterclass brought together school leaders and education professionals committed to transforming their institutions. The event was widely regarded as an amazingly successful experience, further establishing Adenuga’s influence in educational leadership and school improvement across the continent.
With more than 15 years of experience spanning teaching, school leadership and educational consulting across Nigeria and England, Adenuga has become one of Africa’s most recognisable voices in education. His work cuts across school advisory, leadership coaching, classroom innovation, teacher development and socio-emotional learning. Through his consulting work, training programmes and digital platforms, he continues to inspire educators and parents across Africa and beyond.
Adenuga’s expertise is supported by a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Anglia Ruskin University, England. He has also worked with schools and educators globally, delivering speaking engagements and training for leading education organisations and conferences, including Acacia University in Arizona, the Alpha Global Early Years Annual Conference and LagosMums Parenting Conference in Nigeria.
He is also the author of A Million-Dollar Teacher and Raising a Book-Smart Kid, two influential works that reflect his commitment to helping teachers teach better, parents support learning and schools create environments where every child can thrive. Widely recognised as the “Shey You Get?” education voice, Adenuga has become one of the most relatable and respected thought leaders driving meaningful conversations about education in Africa.
For Adenuga, the Global Teachers Conference is not simply another professional development event. It is part of a broader vision to help schools move beyond one-off training and build sustainable cultures of educational excellence. He believes that when teachers are supported, challenged and equipped with the right strategies, the impact extends beyond the classroom to families, communities and the wider society.
The Global Teachers Conference 2026 will provide schools with an opportunity to invest intentionally in their teaching teams and begin a year-long journey of growth, reflection and implementation. Through The Faculty Company, Adenuga is once again bringing educators together around a shared purpose: to improve teaching, strengthen schools and make meaningful work possible for every child.
