Comfort Obiegba needs help

FOR Comfort Obiegba, a JSS III student of Crescent International School, Sango-Ota in Ogun State, all has not been well. Her Junior Secondary school certificate final examinations are around the corner and it is almost certain she would not be able take part.

Thirteen-year-old Comfort is afflicted with a head aliment for almost a year now, which manifestation has been a swelling of her parietal bone (on the head). The problem, according to her father, John Obiegba, started as headache, which later turned to severe eye pains, noise in her ears and weakness of the body.

Obiegba, her father, who has been out of work for long, explained that comfort has been going through a hell of pains, especially since the last four months. He said: “After a test at the General Hospital at Ile-Epo, Lagos, we were referred to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

We did the first test at MeCure Health Care Limited, Oshodi, Lagos, for N71,200. She was asked to do an MRI test for N80,000.00 immediately, after which she is expected to get ready another N5million to do the head operation. “We do not have the money, not even the N80,000 that is needed immediately.

We are, therefore, compelled to earnestly appeal for urgent help from kind-hearted Nigerians, corporate bodies and governments to save my lovely Comfort from this dreadful debilitating brain problem that is threatening her life and education even the vital and decisive exams that she has to do soon in her school.”
