Kumuyi assures of imminent economic transformation
Crusade planned to complement govt efforts
LAGOS residents and Nigerians are set to experience spiritual, moral, physical, material, political and economic transformation. This assurance was given yesterday in Gbagada, Lagos at the press conference to herald a statewide crusade by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in association with Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) With the theme: “Supernatural Power of God’s Wonders” and Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi as the Keynote Speaker, the Deeper Life Church Moderator, Pastor Joseph Fasanmi, said the crusade will be unprecedented because it will cover every nook and cranny of Lagos State, including Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.
Beginning from September 8 and the next two months thereafter, crusades will hold at Ikeja, Ketu, Gbagada, Festac, Isolo, Agege, Alimosho, Oshodi, Orile, Ajegunle, Surulere, Apapa, Lagos Island and Shomolu.
Altogether, the crusades will cover 20 staggered days,” he said. Fasanmi added: “Although Nigerians claim to be in the era of change politically, it is an undisputable fact that over the past three months since a new administration came to be, real change has been measured in coming.” “While we salute the positive actions so far taken by our respected Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, we hasten nonetheless to state that unless the required spiritual renaissance and moral re-armament are put in place, enduring change in Lagos, or any other place for that matter, will remain a pipe dream”.
Fasanmi also disclosed that these crusades are taking place to boldly complement the efforts of the state government, and the cravings and yearnings of Lagos State amiable governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. “Our firm conviction is that once the hearts of the general citizenry are made right, it will be easier for the government to prosecute its programmes successfully”.
He lamented that despite all the efforts of the government to ensure peace, a fearsome swarm of iniquities remains in the state comprising robbery, cultism, drug menace, prostitution, chaos on roads, criminalities, kidnapping, corruption, insecurity among others which have held the State under siege for so long.
Representative of PFN, Lagos State and Financial Secretary, Pastor Leke Akinola at the press briefing, described the crusade as an unprecedented one. “PFN has a structure that goes down to the grass root.
Deeper Life coming to work with PFN means every person will be involved in Lagos. We have our structure from the state to the province to the chapter to the zones and we are taking advantage of this structure of CAN and PFN to mobilize people,” he said.
Speaking for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman of Kosofe, Primate Francis Olatunji at the event, remarked that the coming crusade signals a new beginning in the Church in general and must be embraced by all to save souls.

my dear father in the lord, dont let the crooks in pfn and can deceive you.they have no structure and cannot contribute any thing to the success of the crusade. they are just there to make money. God bless you sir.
Deeper-Life Church is probably the few reputable Christian Church in Nigeria unlike the politically saturated and materialistic induced Pastor Adeboye’s led Redeemed Church, I would advice Deeper-life church to conduct its crusade without getting involve in politics. He can pray for the Governor or any leader for that matter, but it should desist from partisan politics, that is not “His gift and calling” of God.
We pray that the crusade will be a great one! May God continue to keep our pastor for us in Jesus name
We will review and take appropriate action.
