THE crisis rocking the Kaduna State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ‎recorded a twist yesterday as some party leaders staged a protest to the office of the party’s National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, and submitted a petition to him regarding the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani from the party.‎

Led by the ‎Chairman of APC in Sani’s Ward, Tundun Wada, Mr. Abbas Muhammed Anni, the APC leaders described Sani’s suspension as illegal and a breach of the party’s constitution.‎

The state executive of the party had announced the suspension of Senator Sani over an alleged anti-party activities.

How‎ever, after presenting the letter to the national secretariat of the APC in Abuja, Anni said Sani remained true party member.

The petitioners also alleged that those who originated Sani’s suspension letter forged the signatures of the executive members of the APC in the ward.‎

The letter reads: “The attention of we, the executive members of Tundun Wada North (Ward 6) in Kaduna South Local Council, have been drawn to the circulation of a document purporting the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani from the APC in the Ward. It is fake, false, malicious and misleading because I, Alhaji Abbas Muhammed Anni, Chairman of APC in Tundun Wada Ward 6 have no knowledge of the document.

But upon the pronouncement of the said suspension, we held a meeting with the Exco on December 12, 2015 and unanimously denounced and discountenanced the content of the suspension letter of Senator Shehu Sani.
