Due to the declining quality of personnel across the real estate industry, Knight Frank, an independent global property consultancy, has established an academy to bridge the skill gap of fresh graduates.
According to the Senior Partner and Chief Executive of Knight Frank Nigeria, Frank Okosun, the academy is designed to identify, train and develop young graduates, who desire to build careers in real estate.
Okosun said at a media briefing recently that the masterclass session focussed on core aspects of estate management, including valuation, advisory, real estate brokerage, property and facility management, marketing, communication and personnel development.
Okosun explained: “The course content is case-study based to address challenges facing real estate practice and as such resource persons are seasoned industry professionals and accomplished thought leaders who have volunteered to ensure effective delivery of the academy’s curriculum.”
He said the programme would run for three months, inclusive of internship placements at Knight Frank and other leading firms in the industry and a certificate of completion, which will boost the resume of attendants, will be issued.
Entries for the academy were from graduates of estate management, building construction, and
engineering (electrical and mechanical) of Nigerian origin and residents in Nigeria who are willing to pursue a career in the real estate industry.
