The Admiralty Lawyers Society of Nigeria has postponed the capacity-building training it organised for all law enforcement officers in Nigeria.
The training, which was initially slated for March 21, 22, 2025 has been postponed to April 29, 30 2025. It is scheduled to be held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State as earlier planned.
The president Admiralty Lawyers Society of Nigeria, Angus Obinna Chukwuka, disclosed this, saying the scheduled training coincided with several high-profile events involving some of the stakeholders which may hamper the effectiveness of the programme.
Agencies expected at the event include the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), State Security Services (SSS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), National Inland Waterway Authority (NIWA), Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Shippers Council, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and among others.
