The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) has said despite the economic downturn, high inflation and dwindling oil prices, the institute recorded appreciable growth.

President and Chairman of Council, CITN, Adesina Adedayo, said this during its yearly dinner and awards held over weekend.

He commended colleagues in the profession, whom he said has continued to sustain professionalism in the tax system.

He said the yearly dinner is aimed at bringing tax professionals and other stakeholders together, share ideas, successes, learn from downturns and demonstrate professional love.

A highlight of the event was presentation of awards to personalities and organisations.
