The Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association (FOBTOB) has appointed Solomon Adebosin as its new general secretary.

According to a statement by the union, until his appointment, Adebosin was the executive consultant in CognateBS Consulting – a human resource business services provider.
It stated that he began his career as a research officer with FOBTOB in 1999 and rose through the ranks until his resignation in July, 2016 as the Acting Executive Secretary, to pursue other interests.
Adebosin had his first degree in Operations Research. He holds a degree in Law (LL.B) and a Master in Industrial and Labour Relations (MILR). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and an accredited mediator of the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse.
The statement explained that Adebosin is a seasoned and well-experienced organiser, trade union negotiator and astute conflict resolution strategist, with a knack for administration and employee relations.
“He is a meticulous individual with a deep passion for imparting knowledge to bring about change through training, coaching, mentoring and counselling. He loves reading, undertaking research and debates with a strong inclination for facilitation as well as learning and development,” the statement said.
