The Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) has inducted 290 new members into its various professional membership categories, charging them to uphold professionalism, integrity and ethical standards in the discharge of their duties.

The institute’s induction ceremony, held in Lagos, saw qualified candidates admitted as Associates (ACIA), full members (MCIA) and Fellows (FCIA).

Speaking at the ceremony, the President and Chairman of Council, CIA, Ugochukwu Azubuko, congratulated the inductees for successfully meeting the institute’s stringent admission requirements.

He said the inductees had emerged from a rigorous screening process, including the successful completion of the institute’s prescribed professional qualifying examinations, which he noted were designed to ensure that only individuals with proven character, learning, experience and administrative competence are admitted into the profession.

Azubuko said the institute prides itself on excellence and professionalism, urging the new members to be worthy ambassadors of the administration profession by strictly adhering to the institute’s code of ethics in discharging their responsibilities.

According to him, the induction of new members into the various cadres further strengthens the institute’s membership and advances its mandate to promote professionalism and excellence in administration.
