CIIN elects Adekoya as council member

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has elected the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Wapic Insurance Plc, Mrs. Adeyinka Adekoya, as a council member to drive the mission of the body.

The election and inauguration, took place at the just-concluded 2019 CIIN Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos.

Prior to being elected as a council member, Adekoya has served in two of the CIIN committees- Education and Accreditation, since becoming a Fellow of CIIN, as well being part of the committee of the inaugural Mega Conference, the brain child of the Insurance Industry Consultative Council (IICC).

Adekoya, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London (ACII), holds a B.Sc in Insurance and an MBA, both from the University of Lagos, and has over 28 years experience in the industry, with 23 years at senior management levels.

Prior to becoming the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Wapic Insurance, Adekoya was the General Manager and Head, Institutional Business Development at Cornerstone Insurance Plc and Deputy General Manager, Technical, Law Union & Rock Insurance Plc.
