Co-working outfit unveils initiatives to enhance SMEs’ growth
An enterprise-based co-working outfit, The Adrenalina, has unveiled initiatives towards driving the growth of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in Africa.
At the launch of the outfit in Lagos, the company’s chief executive officer, Chukwuerika Achum, said The Adrenalina is creating an environment where budding creatives and entrepreneurs could freely work, innovate and collaborate.
Noting that Africa was the next frontier for economic development with its teeming youths as the key to the actualisation of a prosperous future, he said there was a need to enhance the capacity of young people to create and grow businesses.
According to him, The Adrenalina provides working spaces and collaborative opportunities for entrepreneurs, creatives and freelancers on a subscription basis.
“We are seeking to de-risk the process of setting up a business, by taking off the burden of capital requirements such as infrastructure and regulatory requirements. We are also providing financial structuring, helping businesses to get structured into entities that can access financing,” he said.
The outfit’s marketing consultant, Ayodele Arowosegbe, said: “Investment into the African tech startup ecosystem passed the $3 billion mark in 2022. According to Statista, Nigeria has the highest number of startups on the continent, numbering over 3,360 in 2022. As Africa attempts to emerge as a competitive economic powerhouse, the continent has become a hub for start-ups.”
He said the outfit is poised to help facilitate Nigeria’s transformation, adding that The Adrenalina will serve as an incubator for startups springing up in Nigeria.
Podcast co-host and head of Customer Service Excellence, Hilda Edet also announced the unveiling of its official podcast, known as Voltzz. She said Voltzz is a 30-minute interactive podcast that features celebrities from various fields discussing relevant topics. aIt can be accessed on digital hosting platforms such as Sound Cloud, and via social media.
