Concerned Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) pensioners have concluded plans to hold a peaceful protest over the delayed entitlements for over two decades (2002-2022).

Concerned Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) pensioners have concluded plans to hold a peaceful protest over the delayed entitlements for over two decades (2002-2022).

The pensioners in a statement signed by Engr. Dunmoye M.O noted that the non-payment of these entitlements has led to the death of many of their colleagues, some bedridden and some depondent, coupled with the current economic realities making it difficult to survive.

They added that efforts should be made for their entitlements to be paid by getting those in charge to do the needful, stating that funds for the different entitlements have been released by the Federal government as confirmed by the Budgets Acts of 2015-2022.

The protest is slated for May 5, at the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate’s Lagos Liaison office, Tafawa Balewa Square, beside the old National Assembly Complex Lagos.
