European American University honours Dollar Construction boss, Idowu Lamidi


‘No person was ever honoured for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave’. This quote by Calvin Coolidge summarized the recent achievements of city realtor and Managing Director of Dollar Construction, Engineer Idowu Lamidi.

Barely a week after his company was honoured by City People Magazine as the Fastest Growing Construction Company in Nigeria than he was honored with a Doctor of Science in Building and Construction Project Management by the European American University some days ago in Lagos.


The honorary award came under high recommendations as the University hinted that Idowu Lamidi merited the honour with his serial entrepreneurial building and construction business impact and his firm contribution towards Nigerian construction industry’s growth, to mention a few of the deserving qualities of the man and his Dollar construction.

Excitedly, Idowu Lamidi has a tale to tell. While having his industrial training under Yinka Bibilari at an estate in Abuja, the young man made a vow, a solemn promise that his God answered, which had set him at the front when you discuss Real Estate in Africa.

His Dollar Construction boasts of a string of exquisite homes and estates in Abuja, the Dollar Estate in Ibadan, the Alafara project in Oyo State and other projects in Epe and different parts of the country.

At the presentation of the award ceremony, Lamidi who stormed the Lagos venue with his friends and associates called sky his limit as he revealed plans and his mission to use his wealth of knowledge and experience in the real estate sector to put Nigeria on the world map when it comes to Housing, Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism.
