Photographers and photojournalists have been urged to be creative, innovative in documenting moments and history, and as Nigerians cherish memorable moments, they have the capacity to make waves in social documentaries.

This was the charge at the training on the use of its latest camera by Sony Middle East and Africa, in collaboration with Kontakt Pro, aimed at meeting the growing demand for more sophisticated camera technology in the African market.

Head, Business Development, Digital Imaging, Sony Middle East and Africa, Sajeer Shamsu, said the mirrorless cameras offered the fastest shooting speed with auto focus and auto exposure and were developed based on the fundamentals of lens, image quality, speed, battery life and compact and lightweight. They take imaging far beyond the capability of a smartphone.

Shamsu said also: “Sony’s industry-leading innovation in digital imaging technologies, like processors, sensors and software algorithms and their rapid deployment in our camera have made us the go-to brand for photography and video professionals and enthusiasts around the world.
“We are delighted that one of our key markets in Africa will have access and be able to use our innovative products.”
