Foundation empowers 40 youths in palm oil, cassava production, others
The Intafact Hero’s Foundation (IHF) has empowered 40 entrepreneurs to start their own business after their training and mentoring by seasoned business experts.
Speaking at the award ceremony held at Onitsha, Chairman of the Foundation, the Obi of Onitsha, Nnaemeka Achebe, noted that the Foundation’s programmes have empowered many Nigerian youths to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
He said the foundation received over 5,000 applications this year, compared to 1,700 applications it received last year, adding that this clearly showed that Nigerians were looking for opportunities to nurture their God-given talents.
“The Foundation gave a total grant of N50 million to 24 young men and women from the five states in the Southeast and it added Benue, Delta and Edo states, which resulted to reaching more youths from more states,” he stated.
He commended the company for expanding the programme to accommodate more states including Benue, Delta and Edo beyond the five south Eastern states, which the programme started with and cautioned the successful awardees and other applicants not to forget the valuable trainings they had received.
