Freedom Foundation said it is committed to its thematic framework, with a strong emphasis on accountability, sustainability and impact-driven programming for vulnerable populations.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr Tony Rapu, made this pledge in Lagos during the organisation’s inaugural board meeting for 2026, which brought together board members and executive leadership for in-depth discussions on the organisation’s vision, programmes and leadership direction as it prepares for another year of humanitarian service.
The Foundation maintained to play a critical role in social intervention, offering shelter, rehabilitation and support services to some of Nigeria’s most vulnerable groups, and the outcomes of the meeting signal a strengthened resolve to expand its impact in the coming year.
Key programmes under the foundation are Genesis House, House of Refuge, and Bethesda Child Support Agency, where each presented their new year forecasts, outlined planned interventions, expected outcomes and areas of growth.
Board members actively engaged the presenters, asking critical questions and offering insights to ensure that the foundation’s work remains inclusive and aligned with its core mandate of leaving no one behind.
At the meeting, the new Executive Director, Chidi ColdSweat, who presented her 30–60–90-day strategic plan to the board, detailed immediate priorities, short-term operational goals and medium-term strategies aimed at strengthening programme delivery, governance structures and stakeholder engagement.
