Ikate rotary club earmarks N6.2m for humanitarian projects
The Rotary Club of Ikate, District 9110 has vowed to touch more lives through humanitarian/community services worth N6,250,000 in the 2021 and 2022 rotary years.
That was the resolution at the official investiture of the 35th president of Rotary Club of Ikate, Rotarian Emmanuel Ishado, under the chairmanship of Tolulope Aderemi.
Following induction of the governing board and fundraising for the Rotary year, Rotarian Ishado expressed determination and sought the commitment of members to complete and execute programmes agreed upon.
While noting that there would be more visitation/donation to schools and orphanage homes, Rotarian Ishado assured that their environmental sustainability, tree planting and ‘dictionary stand’ project aimed at making students learn new words on a daily basis, would be intensified in the Rotary year.
Rotarian Ishado, a renowned aerobics instructor and business mogul from Cross River State, declared that the club’s objective of ‘bringing hope’ would be adequately realised in different communities/neighbourhoods.
“Our focus areas would include a health centre, basic education, literacy, economic and community development and disease, among others that are of vital interest to them,” he said.
