The role of market research as a critical element for business decision and growth would be the fulcrum of discussion at the maiden edition of ‘The Market Research Business Forum’.

The forum, which is billed for November 3, in Lagos, has ‘Innovating Business with Evidence’ as the theme.

The Business Forum is a specialized platform to share practical experiences and privilege information on the key areas that will shape and drive businesses, innovation and growth in the years ahead. In doing so, participating companies and individuals are able to gain exact perception needed to remain on top of their respective niche markets.

The marketplace is becoming more intense as Nigeria economy navigates through the recession, with many businesses closing shops due to the increasing harsh economic realities of the present moment.

The Forum organized by the Nigerian Marketing Research Association, NiMRA will focus on how market and opinion research will help businesses to innovate and grow.

“Ultimately, the intention is to strongly influence the processes for business growth through the application of data, insight and intelligence’’, said Ms Joy Uyanwune, President of the association.

She was quick to add that there are hopes that the economy will pick by next year and probably businesses may have the potentials to grow at a minimum of two per cent, saying, “to be part of this growth potential, there’s the need to harness the value of ‘data, Insight and intelligence’ underpinning these growth projections during the upcoming year.”
