New NCATAA president unveils measurable programmes

Former ambassador to the Republic of Korea and avionics engineer, Ali Magashi, who became the President of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Alumni Association (NCATAA), has assured the implementation of measurable programmes.

In his acceptance speech, Magashi outlined several programs, including organising an aviation conference, raising capital to fund activities, visiting the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria to understand their challenges, organising group insurance and life insurance for members, and establishing social media platforms to facilitate easy communication within and outside the association.

Presenting his keynote address, former NCAT Rector Samuel Caulcrick identified challenges in the aviation sector, focusing on ‘Nigeria’s aviation industry, challenges, and way forward’.

He advocated for strong corporate governance, the development of local maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, and access to low-cost capital, among other measures.
