NITAD restates commitment to exceptional learning, devt practice

The Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD) has said it would continue to challenge itself and raise the bar of learning and development service delivery in Nigeria.

Its President and Chairman of the Council, James Bulus, said this at a ceremony to end the institute’s yearly trainers’ eeek and most creative trainer awards.

Noting that the institute was aware that rapid global changes continue to challenge every professional body and demand a continuous rethinking of services, he said NITAD would constantly provide exceptional member services to drive excellence in learning and development practice in Nigeria.

He stressed that the trainers’ week was set aside to encourage effective professional exchanges, knowledge sharing, and recognition of excellence through the trainers’ awards in individual and corporate categories.

Presenting the awards to the winners, a past president of the institute and Chief Executive Officer,  MacTay, Tayo Rotimi, congratulated the awardees and charged them not to rest on their oars, adding that learning and development practices were changing and the more impactful members would be, is determined by their level of creativity and process improvement.

Rotimi expressed his conviction that sooner than later, Nigeria would take its rightful place in the comity of nations and that learning and development practitioners must be found at the vanguard of human capacity development.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Dr Leke Osiyemi, whose firm, Rekrut Consulting won in the private sector category, expressed delight at NITAD’s recognition of their development efforts over the years.He said they have been further challenged to continue to raise the bar.
