A non-governmental Organization, NECA’S Networking of Entrepreneurial Women (NNEW) has charged Nigerians to embrace entrepreneurial spirit as a driver of the economy growth.

As part of NNEW’s effort of advocating gender inclusion in all developmental strategies, it affirmed its loyalty and support to the country for developmental initiatives that engender growth through entrepreneurial culture geared through innovation.

The NNEW publicity Officer, Njideka Ebisi, said Nigerians must strive to drive a culture of innovation through entrepreneurial thinking.“We as a nation must strive to expand entrepreneurial opportunities with endowed funding sources that will prepare our people to think ‘entrepreneurial’. Government need to grow companies that are run by world’s leading entrepreneurs who are able to find opportunities in adversity in order to thrive within today’s difficult economic conditions”.

She said NNEW strives to promote and nurture women entrepreneurs who do not just manage businesses, but contribute to capitalist development, provision of new products and production methods through specific trainings and new forms of organization, thereby acting as change agent to the society.

She then urged government to influence the health of the entrepreneurial environment in order to create a high entrepreneurial economy that drives growth, by the provision of the right platform for growth through effective policies, regulations and incentives.
