The Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has cautioned members of the public to be wary of an ongoing fake recruitment exercise across the country.

Addressing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Sammani Mohammed Ringim, explained that the security outfit has not commenced a new recruitment exercise but those that applied in 2016 were the ones absorbed in the last exercise.

“I deem it necessary to draw the attention of the public in the state to be wary of the rumours of an ongoing recruitment in the corps by some unscrupulous elements, who want to defraud innocent citizens,” he said.

Ringim disclosed that a new recruitment exercise would be officially conducted in the near future and all laid down procedures must be followed and that it would not demand for money from applicants.

He added that the recruitment exercise would be advertised in the national dailies and jingles in radio stations, as well as online registration on its website.
