New Star Metal International Limited (NSMIL), a metal trading and non-ferrous packaging company has bagged the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
The Head of Technical Review, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) Management System Certification, Rabi Idakwo, who represented the Director-General of SON, Farouk Salim, presented the ISO certificate at the company’s corporate head office in Lagos.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, New Star Metal International Limited, Abdulateef Sulaimon, commended the officials of the SON for diligently and satisfactorily performing their statutory inspection of the company’s operations, describing the ISO certification as a testimony of NSMIL’s unwavering commitment to quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Sulaimon, who noted the support and dedication of the management, staff, clients and stakeholders of the company over the years, said: “This certification is more than just a piece of paper or a plaque on our walls. It is a reflection of the hard work, diligence and dedication of every staff and stakeholders of the company. The journey to achieve the esteemed landmark was not easy, but worth every challenge at every moment of inspection.”
Idakwo, on behalf of SON DG, applauded the management on the feat attained, stating that the approach provides the company with a robust, globally recognised and acceptable solution to address the challenges associated with managing quality and delivering an excellent customer experience.
